County of Kalkaska School Liaison |
D.A.R.E. OFFICER:
Unfortunately, our funding for the school liaison position ceased. Kalkaska County Deputies will continue to respond to both Kalkaska and Forest Area Schools whenever necessary. We will also continue to be present at school functions such as athletic events and dances.
Although we have no funds to support the DARE Program, our DARE officer, Sergeant Harry Shipp has retained his certification and will continue to present this program at both Kalkaska and Forest Area Schools. To supplement funding of this program, we will seek assistance from the school systems and seek donations from local area businesses.
